  • Established nonprofit from the ground up into a high performing well-regarded service agency

 

  • Expanded student service footprint seventeen-fold (from 200 to 3,400 students) to 80% of NV counties

 

  • Bolstered budget six-fold (to 4.5 million per year) via effective government relations and development strategies, thus ensuring investment from the Nevada State Legislature, Governor and private funders

 

  • Magnified staffing levels from one employee to 73 employees in 3 years to serve more Nevada youth

 

  • Maintained highest levels of efficacy and ethics as demonstrated by 5 years of clean audits

 

  • Led team to highest outcomes including 97% graduation rates for youth facing multiple barriers

 

  • Created new, highly effective, nationally recognized and funded initiatives to improve student post-secondary and employment outcomes during 12 month follow-up

Latin Chamber Of Commerce Community Foundation, 2010 to 2014

 

  • Leveraged nonprofit on paper only into fully realized workforce development agency to uplift underserved neighborhoods and put thousands of unemployed, recession-weary Nevadans back to work

 

  • Raised 8-10 million dollars in state and federal funding from Department of Labor, Department of Education and local Workforce Development Boards

 

  • Acquired large city owned (City of Las Vegas) community center for $1 a year to serve as the home of the nonprofit in the heart of underserved client area


 

VICE PRESIDENT OF MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS

Nevada State College, 2003 to 2009

 

  • Helped establish and lead student affairs services at the college at a time of rapid growth including financial aid, admissions and services for students with disabilities

 

  • Established Multicultural Affairs department as a highly effective means for the college to exceed diversity goals

 

  • Built solid relationships with schools, organizations representing minority communities and built pipelines of diverse students to the college

 

  • Founded the highly successful NSC Upward Bound program

 

  • Promoted from Assistant Vice President to full Vice President over 6 years

  • School Board Trustee, District E, Clark County School District, July, 2012 to December 2012.

  • School Board Member, Odyssey Charter School, 2013 to September 2014.
